Course Overview
Our Working at Height e-learning course provides essential knowledge and skills to perform tasks safely at height. This course covers the basics, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and safe practices. The e-learning module allows learners to complete the theory portion at their convenience, but to achieve full certification, participants must also complete an in-person practical assessment. This hands-on component ensures that learners can safely apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Course Content

The Working at Height e-learning course covers:

  1. Introduction to Working at Height – Overview of risks and the importance of safe practices.
  2. Identifying Hazards – Recognising common hazards associated with working at height and how to control them.
  3. Risk Assessment and Planning – Steps for conducting effective risk assessments and planning safe work at height.
  4. Using Equipment Safely – Guidelines for the safe use of ladders, scaffolding, harnesses, and other safety equipment.
  5. Emergency Procedures – Preparing for emergencies and understanding rescue protocols.
Course Duration

The e-learning module is self-paced, typically taking around 1-2 hours to complete. The in-person practical assessment can be scheduled separately and takes approximately 1 hour.

Assessment & Certification

Practical Assessment
To achieve full certification, learners must complete a practical assessment in person. This hands-on session, led by a certified instructor, allows participants to demonstrate safe working at height techniques using the relevant equipment. Practical sessions are available at our training centre or can be arranged on-site for group bookings.

Assessment and Certification
Learners will receive a Certificate of Completion for the e-learning module. Upon successful completion of both the e-learning module and the practical assessment, participants will receive a full Working at Height Completion Certificate, recognised as meeting workplace health and safety requirements.
